Andaman- A Secret paradise by the Seaside

If you wish to get relaxed in a serene environment rich in lush green woods, azure sea with sparkling shores flooding with marine life and breath in some unpolluted air, then all you need to do is to take a tour to the splendid outpost of India, the ANDAMAN...

Andaman Islands, located at the juncture of Bay of Bengal and the Andaman Sea, and are a perfect blend of nature's beauty, marvelous marine life, and the incredible monuments of historic significance.

A million varieties of under water corals, which provide shelter to diverse marine flora and fauna, spectacularly colored fishes, distinct varieties of other island life forms like the Dugong (sea cow), salt water crocodiles, turtles, butterflies and more explain the great biodiversity seen in the islands.

The Cellular jail (a memorial of Indian freedom struggle) located in Port Blair, Chatham saw mill (2nd largest in Asia), Anthropological museum [one stop to know the life of island tribal's (6 endangered tribes - Andamanese, Sentinelese, Jarawas, Onges, Shompens and Nicobarese)] and Samudrika ( A naval museum) are some of the important tourist attractions in the archipelago.

Also the Island of Ross (place from where the British governed the entire island), and Havelock Islands are some ideal destinations for the nature walk.

The pristine beauty of these exotic islands with colorful, white sand beaches like the Radhanagar beach, Kalapathar beach, shore at Chidiyatappu/ Bird's Island (a sunset point), Corbyn's cove and more makes them a secret paradise to the nature lovers and offers a visual treat to the tourists.

Andaman is also a home for the unique rain forests, evergreen forests and also some exclusive Mangrove forests, which find their place in brackish water (combination of fresh and salt waters) regions.

A plethora of water sport and underwater activities like the swimming, a game of fishing, jet-ski rides, scuba diving, snorkeling and more can be some fun filled stuff to do  at the island...

If you could enjoy the music in its ocean roar, ecstasy on the lonely shore and the pleasure in the pathless woods, then nature can bestow upon you it's most precious present and increase your longing to learn about the endless immensity of the sea.

After all a silent walk on the shore or along the woods and basking in the sun, enjoying a good book by sipping over some coffee overlooking the ocean --- what more could one expect for!!!
